This remix is from an artist Pogo who uses sound/visuals from movies.
I am completely in love with this video. The mix of the slow motion of scenes with the fast pace of sound/visual samples intrigues me. I feel like I'm completely entranced in a sliver of time. The video editing is a true postmodern art form I can appreciate. This video forced me to watch the movie again.
The movie is "A Little Princess" a 1995 remake of a 1939 Shirley Temple classic and based off the novel written by Frances Hodgson Burnett. What is so striking about the film, other than the stunning cinematography, acting skills of the kids, and gorgeous set design, is the fact that the story has so much heart. The heart is a main component missing from many children's stories, most of which have no soul.
You must know what I'm talking about. What was the last kids' film you saw that moved you -and not in a way to go out and buy some merchandise (no offense to Harry Potter of course)?
