It's been rainy married with cold the last few days. I am desperate to ride my little Schwinn out and about. I miss my little bike. When I lived in New Orleans I didn't have a car for three and 1/2 years. The lay of the land was flat and idea for cycling, unlike Maryland's rolling hillsides. Life on a bike is so completely different than the metal bubble of a car. When peddling, I had to be extremely aware of cars, people, nature, chaos, and randomness. I was sensually alive and living in the moment.
Plus, I miss the regular forced exercise just for transportation.
Well, until the weather clears I will don a raincoat and a longing for my little red bike.
